MATE NAGY

Mate Levente Nagy, PhD is Director of Data Science at Ionpath, where he develops AI tools for the analysis of tissue-based pathology images of cancer cells. Professionally, Mate seeks to improve quality and efficiency through the use of automation. In his leisure, he is the patron of arts education, specifically at The Academy of Dance. He has picked up a number of hobbies throughout the years, including swimming, which he started during his childhood in Hungary, squash and ballroom dancing during his doctorate studies at Yale, and most recently Brazilian jiu-jitsu due to the influence of a co-worker. Since his time growing up in Brooklyn, NY, Mate has had an appreciation for and deep interest in various customs and cultures. He often gets lost in thought about how different people's linguistic, cultural, and religious backgrounds influence the way they understand and approach the world.
