KATIE WALSH
Instructor: Tiny tots, pre hip hop/jazz, creative ballet
Katie Walsh, a California native, began dancing at the age of 4 and has loved performing and teaching the art form ever since. Katie recently graduated with both a BA in Education Sciences and a BFA in Dance Performance from the University of California, Irvine’s Claire Trevor School of the Arts where she studied various styles such as: ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, and hip hop. Throughout her many years of training, Katie has attended numerous dance intensives and festivals including NW Dance Project’s Summer MOVE Platform and SALT Contemporary Dance’s Link Festival where she worked with esteemed choreographers such as Joseph Hernandez, Ihsan Rustem, and Olivier Wevers. Outside of teaching dance, Katie is currently a company member of Akomi Contemporary Dance as well as an Early Childhood Instructor and Interventionist working in the field of early childhood development.
