CATHERINE MURPHY
Studio Manager
Catherine Murphy was born and raised in Northern California where she was encouraged to pursue her passion for fine and performing arts. At a young age, Catherine was awarded different
scholarships to attend CSMA, displayed her art in select exhibitions, and was highlighted in her city's newspaper in regards to her artistic skill. In 2018, Catherine moved to Southern California, where she fell in love with its coastal living and artistic nature as she completed murals as a freelance artist to beautify different locations in San Diego and Orange County. Catherine previously managed an art studio where she taught fine arts to children and adults of all ages in Laguna Niguel. For each project, Catherine would introduce students to different techniques, past
art movements, and iconic artists through a variety of mediums which included charcoal, sketching, oils, acrylics, ceramics, and fashion design, inks, scratchbord, glass work, and more.
While Catherine has a strong foundation in a multitude of mediums, her speciality lies in mural design, ceramics, and acrylics. Particularly, what drives Catherine to pour into her students is her love of teaching and supporting the artists of tomorrow.
Outside of work, Catherine enjoys dedicating her time to her community through volunteering with animal rescues, serving within the ministry, and exploring different avenues of environmental education. Catherine strives to continue her career in uplifting and encouraging young artists to pursue their passions through different avenues of performing and fine arts.
