Q: What should my child wear to class?

A: The dress code for ballet is as follows- Girls :solid color leotard, pink tights or pink socks, pink ballet shoes with elastic straps. Hair tied back or bun. Boys Dress Code: white t-shirt, black bike shorts, white socks, black or white ballet shoes with elastic straps. For the Boys Only Movement classes boys should wear comfortable clothing  and tennis shoes, no jeans please.

Please no princess costumes or old dance costumes.

Children should arrive at school already dressed in their dance attire with their regular clothes in a bag. After class the children will get dressed in their classrooms. PLEASE LABEL ALL ITEMS, clothing often gets mixed-up while the children dress themselves. AOD staff are not responsible for changing the children or lost items.

Q: Can I watch my child's class?
A: Parents are welcome to stay and observe the first and last class of each session. We ask that parents refrain from observing all other classes so the children are not distracted and can get the most out of each class.
Q: What performing opportunities are there for my child?

A: We have an annual performance for all of our preschool dancers, please see each sessions paperwork for more information.
Costumes are ordered in the Fall. This is a great opportunity for the kids to perform in a friendly and supportive atmosphere and we encourage all of our students to participate.

Q: Where can I find ballet shoes?

A: Any dancewear store will have leather ballet shoes. Payless Shoes also sells the correct style of ballet shoe.
